ABOUT ME
Peking Punk Prince

I am a UNSW Art & Design Graduate, majoring within textiles & fashion design and spatial design. Born in Sydney to Chinese immigrant parents, I was raised by fascinating traditions and newfangle pop culture. Key themes I explore through my artistic practice include my Chinese identity, kaleidoscopic landscapes and carnivalesque colours.
I am known for my high-concept, well-researched and fleshed out projects. I have a versatile style and multidisciplinary techniques across graphic, fashion and spatial design, all connected through my unique creative process. My textile collections have been described by peers as ‘narrative’ using intricate details, curated (hand-rendered) motifs to tell a story throughout the pieces of a collection (some works that showcase this include Hyphae and Performance of Maiden). I enjoy being given briefs and finding ways to impress and surprise my client by merging what they’ve envisioned and what they didn’t expect to see.
I have had academic and industry experiences with fashion and graphic design. I am a competent designer both analog and digital having trained experience with painting, drawing and sewing ,in addition to experience with the Adobe suite. As a fresh graduate from UNSW, I aim to gain more experience in the professional industry and utilise my own repertoire of skills to bring any vision to fruition.
I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation. I pay my respects to Elders, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
